Chief Financial Officer

Location: Hybrid, Indianapolis, IN and Minneapolis, MN

Compensation: Competitive base salary with a target Bonus of 40% with upside potential

A high growth national distribution organization with more than 600M in annual revenue is entering its next chapter of operational alignment and strategic expansion. Following a successful consolidation of multiple business entities into a unified structure, the company is seeking a forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer to help shape the long-term financial strategy, strengthen performance visibility, and serve as a true enterprise partner to executive leadership.

This is not a maintenance CFO role. This is an opportunity to architect the future finance function of a complex, multi-location distribution platform with significant runway ahead. The organization operates across more than 20 sites nationwide and is backed by an established global parent company, offering both stability and long-term investment support. The incoming CFO will play a central role in driving profitable growth, enhancing systems and reporting, and elevating financial leadership across the enterprise.

What You Will Do

Enterprise Financial Strategy

• Develop and execute long term financial strategy aligned with growth objectives and operational priorities
• Provide data driven insight to executive leadership to guide investment decisions, pricing strategy, and expansion initiatives
• Drive accountability for EBIT, operating income, and revenue performance across business units

Financial Planning and Performance Management

• Lead companywide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Establish and refine KPIs that improve transparency and operational discipline
• Deliver actionable analysis comparing actual performance to plan, identifying risk and opportunity

Post Consolidation Leadership

• Continue optimizing finance operations following a multi entity consolidation
• Lead through organizational complexity, aligning processes, controls, and reporting structures
• Partner cross functionally to integrate systems, including a dual ERP environment

Risk, Controls, and Governance

• Strengthen internal controls, compliance frameworks, and financial governance practices
• Oversee audit processes and ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting standards
• Proactively assess and mitigate financial and operational risk

Team and Executive Partnership

• Lead and develop a high performing finance and accounting team in a right sized, efficiency focused structure
• Serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, influencing decisions beyond finance
• Provide executive oversight and collaboration with support functions as needed

What We Are Looking For

• Experience serving as a VP Finance, Divisional CFO, or enterprise finance leader within a 600M plus revenue environment
• Strong background in distribution, supply chain, or multi-site operational business models preferred
• Demonstrated success navigating integrations, consolidations, or restructuring initiatives
• Strategic business mindset with the ability to translate financial data into operational action
• Experience managing ERP complexity and enhancing reporting capabilities
• Proven ability to lead through change while building long term organizational stability
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required, advanced degree or professional certification welcomed but not mandatory
• Willingness to travel periodically to support geographically distributed operations
