IT Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Remote (United States)

Duration: 3–6 Month Contract


A growing organization is bringing together multiple operating companies under a unified technology strategy and is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to help lead that transformation.

This isn't a hands-on engineering or systems administration role. The ideal candidate is an experienced project leader who excels at coordinating stakeholders, managing technology initiatives, driving organizational change, and keeping complex projects moving forward. You'll help unify technology platforms across multiple operating companies while serving as the bridge between executive leadership, business stakeholders, and third-party technology partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise IT projects from planning through execution across multiple operating companies.
  • Coordinate technology integration initiatives supporting organizational growth and acquisitions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, business stakeholders, and third-party technology partners.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and executive communications.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity and compliance-related initiatives while ensuring projects remain on schedule.
  • Drive organizational change management and user adoption for new technologies and processes.
  • Develop repeatable project and integration processes to support future growth.
  • Identify roadblocks, escalate issues appropriately, and keep multiple initiatives moving simultaneously.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise IT projects or programs.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating third-party technology vendors or managed service providers.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience leading organizational change management initiatives.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology modernization or post-acquisition integrations is highly preferred.
  • Background supporting cybersecurity, governance, or compliance initiatives is a plus.
