National Sales Manager – Industrial Products
A rapidly growing manufacturer in the industrial products sector is seeking a National Sales Manager to lead strategic revenue growth across North America. This role offers the opportunity to shape national sales strategy, expand major customer relationships, and build long term market share within distributor and enterprise channels.
The organization has recently expanded its product portfolio and is investing heavily in growth. Leadership is looking for a hands-on sales leader with a strong hunter mentality who can open new national accounts, strengthen channel partnerships, and help position the company for long-term success in competitive industrial markets.
This is a highly visible leadership role with strong earning potential and the ability to influence the future direction of a key product division. The role requires you to be in office at least once/week with 50% travel to Trade shows and customers

Focus:
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share across industrial product channels.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new enterprise level customers and national accounts.
- Strengthen and expand relationships with distributor partners, wholesalers, and strategic resellers.
- Lead and coach a small but growing sales team while maintaining ownership of key strategic accounts.
- Drive product adoption by working with customers to integrate products into standards, specifications, and procurement programs.
- Represent the organization at industry trade shows, customer events, and distributor meetings.
- Deliver high impact presentations and negotiations with decision makers across procurement, operations, and executive leadership.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, account development, and strategic outreach.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives with product positioning and market opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to refine sales strategy.
- Manage revenue performance including bookings, pipeline forecasting, and margin accountability.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10 plus years of progressive B2B sales experience in industrial or manufactured products.
- Experience managing national accounts and enterprise customers.
- Demonstrated success selling through distributor or channel partner networks.
- Proven ability to open new accounts and expand into new markets.
- Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring sales professionals.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic sales initiatives.
- Strong business acumen and financial awareness related to revenue performance.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office tools
Preferred
- Experience selling specification driven or engineered products.
- Industry experience in industrial manufacturing, infrastructure products, construction supply, safety products, or related sectors.
- MBA or advanced business degree.
- Experience working with national distributors and large commercial buyers.
