Accounts Payable Manager

Location: Rosemont, IL (On-Site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and mentor a team responsible for processing invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
  • Drive continuous process improvement efforts across accounts payable functions to enhance quality, speed, and efficiency.
  • Facilitate vendor communication, resolve discrepancies, and ensure prompt payment resolution.
  • Administer ACH and wire transfer processes and oversee the preparation and release of check payments.
  • Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to maintain vendor records and streamline payment workflows.
  • Manage monthly closing procedures, including reviewing aging reports to maintain favorable vendor payment terms.
  • Lead team development through performance reviews, coaching, and professional development planning.
  • Provide administrative oversight, including timesheet approvals, team scheduling, and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to special finance projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable or related finance roles, ideally within food production, CPG, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency with enterprise systems such as AS400, Microsoft Office Suite, and general accounting tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across departments.
