Maintenance Technician

Ignite your career keeping America’s critical security infrastructure running.

Our client is an established security solutions provider supporting critical infrastructure and high-value facilities across multiple industries. With new multi-year service contracts coming online, they are expanding their elite field-maintenance team and need a Maintenance Technician who can hit the ground running - diagnosing electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems in the field with very little documentation or supervision. If you enjoy variety, travel, and the satisfaction of getting complex equipment back online fast, this is the role for you.

Why Join?

  • Competitive hourly pay, overtime, and paid per-diem on every trip.
  • Company credit card, tools, PPE, and late-model service vehicle provided.
  • Robust medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) match, profit-sharing bonus, and generous PTO.
  • Hands-on OEM training and clear pathways to Lead Tech or Field Supervisor.
  • Join a three-time Inc. 5000 honoree that partners with the U.S. Military and Fortune 500 brands - your work quite literally secures our nation.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel nationwide Monday-Friday (fly out Monday, home most Fridays) to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motorized vehicle-barrier and gate systems, CCTV, message boards, portable generators, and related safety controls.
  • Isolate faults and repair hydraulic pumps, valves, actuators, and cylinders on site - often without printed manuals.
  • Troubleshoot and service three-phase motors, VFDs, and control circuits up to 480 VAC, plus 12-24 VDC low-voltage I/O.
  • Create concise digital service reports, parts lists, and labor estimates after every visit; capture customer sign-off and photos before closing each ticket.
  • Act as the on-site safety lead - coordinating with customer security teams, following lock-out/tag-out and confined-space best practices, and maintaining your company-issued service vehicle.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years field service or industrial-maintenance experience (e.g., heavy equipment, conveyor, diesel hydraulics, car-wash, or waste-management systems).
  • Proven skill repairing hydraulic drives and components, plus strong electrical troubleshooting to 480 V.
  • Ability to read schematics / single-line drawings and think on your feet when documentation is missing.
  • Comfortable flying and driving 70 % of the time; must live within ~1 hour of a major airport.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and eligibility to obtain military-base access (drug & background screens required).
  • Bonus points for state electrical license, OSHA 10/30, or mobile-lift certifications.
