Manager - Shipping & Receiving

Our client is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to take ownership of a critical, high-volume operation supporting a growing organization in Vero Beach. This is a visible leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong teams, improving operational discipline, and turning complex warehouse activity into consistent, measurable results. The successful candidate will lead supervisors across multiple shifts while driving improvements in inventory accuracy, service, safety, cost control, and overall execution.

Focus:

• Lead shipping and receiving activities across multiple shifts through a team of supervisors, establishing clear priorities and accountability for operational results.
• Own inbound receiving and outbound shipping performance, driving reliable execution across accuracy, throughput, service, and productivity.
• Coach and develop supervisors while strengthening leadership coverage, cross-training, employee performance, and consistency between shifts.
• Promote dependable stock management by addressing variances and contributing to improvements in overall accuracy and efficiency.
• Leverage ERP and warehouse management systems to improve transaction accuracy, inventory visibility, reporting, and operational decision-making.
• Manage department safety, audit readiness, labor planning, overtime, operating expenses, and key performance indicators.
• Contribute to process enhancements that improve day-to-day operations, consistency, and overall performance.
• Partner with operations, quality, maintenance, planning, logistics, and HR stakeholders to resolve constraints and support broader business priorities.

Skill Set:

• 5+ years of leadership experience within shipping, receiving, warehousing, distribution, or a closely related operation.
• Proven experience directly managing and developing supervisors responsible for multiple shifts.
• Hands-on leadership of both inbound receiving and outbound shipping within a high-volume operating environment.
• Strong inventory-control background, including cycle counting, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, discrepancy resolution, and corrective action.
• Fluency with ERP and WMS platforms required, with NetSuite and RFSmart experience considered strong advantages.
• Department-level ownership of safety, audit or compliance readiness, labor planning, overtime, expenses, and performance metrics.
• Experience within food, beverage, refrigerated, cold-chain, CPG, regulated manufacturing, or a similarly demanding operational environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, communication, and cross-functional problem-solving skills. A related bachelor's degree and Spanish-English bilingual capabilities are advantageous.
