Electrical Project Manager
Location: Remote – hiring nationwide (occasional travel to project sites across the United States)
Our client is a rapidly expanding specialty contractor that delivers complex electrical construction projects across industrial, energy, and mission-critical markets. Their nationwide project load is growing fast, so they’re adding an experienced Electrical Project Manager who can steer multiple high-value builds from kickoff through close-out while championing best-in-class safety, quality, and cost control. If you thrive on owning the full project lifecycle, building strong relationships, and seeing tangible results come to life in the field, this remote role offers the autonomy and runway to advance your career.
What You’ll Tackle
- Own the numbers. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cash-flow forecasts, driving on-time, on-budget delivery and transparent financial reporting.
- Plan it right, from day one. Produce startup packages—permits, procurement plans, detailed CPM schedules, and submittal logs—so field teams and trade partners launch each build with clarity and confidence.
- Keep projects moving. Track material and equipment status, lead weekly cost-to-complete reviews, and resolve RFIs and change orders quickly to maintain momentum.
- Coordinate every player. Direct subcontractors and vendor partners, monitor performance metrics, and facilitate cross-trade collaboration to uphold quality standards and eliminate rework.
- Close with confidence. Deliver O&M manuals, warranty packages, and turnover documentation, ensuring a clean hand-off to the owner and repeat business for the team.
- Model the culture. Champion a safety-first mindset and embody the organization’s core values of people development, process improvement, community focus, and trusted relationships.
What You’ll Bring
- 3 + years of electrical project management or project controls experience within construction or industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of the NEC and electrical systems, plus the ability to read and interpret one-lines, schematics, and shop drawings.
- Proven analytical skills and comfort using project management and estimating software (MS Office, Primavera or MS Project, plus Accubid or equivalent).
- Clear, confident communicator who builds rapport with field crews, engineers, vendors, and customers in a fast-paced, distributed setting.
- Self-starter mindset, high attention to detail, and the drive to continuously raise the bar.
