US Finance & Accounting Manager

They are seeking a US Finance & Accounting Manager to take ownership of financial operations for the US business unit. This role will serve as the primary financial partner to US leadership while collaborating closely with an international finance team. Focus
- Serve as the primary finance and accounting lead for the US operation, supporting business performance and financial governance.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and insights to operational leadership for decision making.
- Oversee accounts payable processes including invoice review, payment processing, and vendor communications.
- Manage reconciliation activities across bank accounts, credit cards, and financial systems.
- Coordinate payroll data with external payroll providers to ensure accurate employee and tax payments.
- Maintain accurate accounting records including journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset tracking.
- Support month end and year end close activities while collaborating with international finance teams.
- Review financial data to identify unusual variances, discrepancies, or operational trends requiring attention.
- Assist with finance related system improvements, process optimization, and automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Act as a trusted financial partner to operational leadership by translating financial information into actionable insights.
- Support vendor and internal stakeholder relationships while serving as a point of escalation for financial questions.
- Provide guidance and oversight to accounting support staff and help foster an organized and accountable finance function.
Skill Set
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Experience in accounting or finance roles with increasing responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes including reconciliations, reporting, payroll coordination, and financial controls.
- Experience supporting operational leaders with financial analysis and reporting.
- Advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
- Experience working with ERP or accounting platforms.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies within large data sets.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment that combines transactional work with strategic collaboration.
- Experience supporting multi location or international finance teams is a plus.
