CSR / Inside Sales

Location: On-site in Champaign, IL and Springfield, IL


A growing organization in the commercial building solutions space is seeking a motivated CSR Inside Sales professional to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly visible role that directly supports revenue-generating activities while gaining hands-on exposure to a specialized and in-demand industry.


In this position, you will act as a key operational partner to field sales professionals, helping to ensure projects move efficiently from initial request through order processing. With strong mentorship, structured training, and clear growth pathways, this role is ideal for someone eager to build a long-term career in sales, construction support, or operations.


What You Will Do

  • Provide day-to-day support to field sales representatives by processing project and order details into internal systems
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer records, product specifications, and delivery information
  • Generate pricing using internal tools, making minor adjustments as needed for accuracy and presentation
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist occasional walk-in customers with product questions and order support
  • Serve as a communication bridge between customers and the outside sales team
  • Learn product offerings, terminology, and workflows to support increasing responsibility over time
  • Contribute to overall team efficiency through administrative and sales support tasks

What You Bring

Preferred but not required

  • Previous experience in customer service, inside sales, or sales support
  • Exposure to construction, building materials, or technical product environments
  • Familiarity with product catalogs or order entry systems
