Project Engineer
Location: North Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
A dynamic infrastructure contractor with a rapidly growing presence in Arizona is expanding its water and wastewater construction group. With multiple fast-paced municipal and private-sector contracts in motion, they seek a Project Delivery Engineer who is passionate about learning all aspects of project execution and progressing toward project leadership roles. What You’ll Do
- Lead coordination of submittals, RFIs, and daily field documentation to support accurate, audit-ready project records.
- Work closely with superintendents to monitor schedules, track resources, and maintain project milestones.
- Support quick-turn job order contract (JOC) pursuits by preparing estimates, scope clarifications, and proposal materials.
- Review vendor billings and crew timecards, identifying cost variances and aiding in monthly pay application preparation.
- Conduct safety walk-downs and contribute to start‑up, commissioning, and turnover packages at project close‑out.
Typical Projects
- Water and wastewater treatment improvements, pump stations, and distribution pipelines.
- Fast-track JOC assignments with values typically ranging from $150K to $1.2M, often delivered in 4–6 weeks.
- Primarily local job sites with occasional day travel across the Valley and into northern Arizona.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of construction‑related experience (internships or co‑ops count), ideally with exposure to field coordination or project controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with construction software (like Procore or Foundation); familiarity with Primavera or CAD is a plus.
- Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and a desire to grow professionally.
