Team Lead, Network Operations Center – Data Center

Location: Austin, TX (On-Site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee a round-the-clock operations function supporting core infrastructure and connectivity systems
  • Design team structures, coverage plans, and processes to maintain uninterrupted monitoring and support
  • Define and uphold performance metrics, service expectations, and operational benchmarks for the team
  • Put in place a standardized method for handling events, including defined levels and escalation flow
  • Guide coordinated response during significant events, keeping teams connected and communication flowing
  • Lead follow-up efforts after events, identifying underlying issues and ensuring improvements are carried through
  • Establish and update internal guides, escalation frameworks, and preparedness practices to support new systems and deployments
  • Work closely with internal teams to bring new systems into existing monitoring and support processes
  • Oversee vendor and carrier ticket management, including tracking, escalation, and SLA adherence
  • Review performance data, identify opportunities, and implement changes to improve overall effectiveness and consistency


Qualifications:

  • At least five years in roles supporting network, infrastructure, or operational systems
  • Proven experience building or leading a NOC or around the clock operations center environment
  • Proven experience handling incidents, including leading critical events and managing follow-up activities
  • Technical understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, and monitoring systems
  • Experience building operational processes, documentation, and escalation structures from the ground up
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to perform under pressure in critical situations

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with operating in complex, fast-changing environments
  • Experience working with tools that provide visibility into system performance and operational status
  • Experience collaborating with external service partners or third-party operational teams
  • Familiarity with facility systems supporting critical environments, including power and environmental controls
  • Experience working with service providers and resolving connectivity-related issues
