Industrial BIM Designer

Our client is seeking an Industrial BIM Designer to help turn complex facility requirements into coordinated, construction-ready designs. This is an opportunity to work close to the action, partnering across design and construction disciplines on industrial projects where constructability matters from the earliest concept through field execution. The right candidate will bring strong Revit expertise, practical building knowledge, and the confidence to take ownership of design challenges while contributing to a collaborative, project-focused environment.

Focus:

• Build coordinated Revit models and drawing packages for industrial facilities, carrying work from early layouts through permit and construction documentation.
• Turn preliminary concepts, field information, and project requirements into practical architectural, civil, and structural design solutions.
• Collaborate across multiple design and technical teams to maintain consistency and alignment throughout project documentation.
• Review layouts against building, life safety, accessibility, and zoning requirements, flagging issues and supporting compliant design decisions.
• Provide ongoing project support by maintaining documentation, responding to technical inquiries, and reflecting authorized changes as work progresses.
• Spend time at project locations when necessary to gather information and contribute to ongoing design efforts.
• Prepare clear, well-organized technical materials that support effective project execution and maintain high standards throughout the design process.
• Manage assigned design tasks across multiple active projects, balancing priorities, schedules, coordination needs, and deadlines.

Skill Set:

• Strong command of BIM-based design tools and familiarity with supporting drafting platforms used to create detailed project documentation.
• Background of three or more years contributing to the planning and development of building-related projects. Relevant drafting, civil engineering, or architecture education may be considered when experience falls below the stated minimum.
• Associate Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Design Technology, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of industrial building design, construction methods, building systems, and constructible detailing.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and design standards that influence the planning and development of facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to identify project-related issues, assess potential approaches, and move forward with effective resolutions.
• Proven ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of project responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders throughout all stages of a project.
