An industry leading engineering and construction organization is seeking a Deputy Construction Manager to help deliver highly specialized water infrastructure supporting one of the nation's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing programs. This is an outstanding opportunity for a construction professional with experience in commercial or semiconductor projects to play a critical leadership role from design coordination through commissioning. You will work alongside experienced project leaders while helping drive quality, safety, scheduling, and execution on technically complex utility systems.

Focus

  • Assist the Construction Manager with coordinating all phases of Ultra Pure Water (UPW) infrastructure projects, from preconstruction activities through startup and final completion.
  • Coordinate daily construction activities with contractors, engineers, field personnel, and project stakeholders.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, schematics, BIM models, and technical documentation to support project execution.
  • Assist with constructability reviews, scheduling, sequencing, and field coordination to maintain project milestones.
  • Monitor construction quality, ensuring installations comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and safety standards.
  • Participate in contractor meetings, progress reviews, inspections, and issue resolution activities.
  • Help manage project documentation, RFIs, change documentation, quality records, and schedule updates.
  • Support project controls activities including forecasting, progress tracking, cost awareness, and reporting.
  • Promote OSHA compliant jobsite practices while fostering a culture focused on safety, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Assist with commissioning preparation and turnover activities to support successful project completion.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial construction or semiconductor construction experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full lifecycle of Ultra Pure Water (UPW) system construction, from initial design through system startup and project completion.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, project documentation, and applicable building codes.
  • Experience supporting mechanical, electrical, and control integrated water systems.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and construction best practices.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard construction documentation tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or technical apprenticeship preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is welcomed but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing facility construction.
  • Chinese or Japanese language proficiency is a plus.
  • Comfortable performing work in elevated locations, including the use of ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, catwalks, and rooftop access when required.
