Account Executive – Data Center

Remote in West & Central Regions

Travel up to 50 percent


Our client is expanding its reach in the fast-moving data center and mission critical construction space and is looking for a driven sales professional who knows how to turn market opportunity into booked business. This is a high-visibility role for someone who enjoys owning a territory, influencing complex project decisions, and building lasting relationships across the data center ecosystem. The right person will step into a growth-focused environment where technical credibility, strong field presence, and disciplined pipeline management can make a direct impact.


What You Will Do

  • Develop and grow a regional sales territory focused on data center and mission critical project opportunities.
  • Build a healthy pipeline by identifying projects early and guiding them from planning stages through award and execution.
  • Strengthen relationships with owners, developers, engineers, architects, contractors, integrators, distributors, and other channel partners.
  • Lead consultative sales conversations that connect technical product capabilities with project goals, installation needs, and long-term value.
  • Increase specification and project win potential by staying close to stakeholders involved in design, procurement, and construction decisions.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, opportunity tracking, and account activity in Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
  • Monitor territory activity, competitive movement, and market trends to help shape go to market execution.
  • Travel regularly throughout the region to support customer engagement, jobsite activity, and strategic account development.


What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • 5 to 10 years of business to business sales experience in construction, mission critical, or data center markets.
  • A proven history of meeting or exceeding territory goals and building a strong project pipeline.
  • Experience navigating project-based selling and multi-channel construction environments.
  • Strong technical selling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage a territory plan, and keep CRM data current.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM system.


Preferred Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with customers and influencers across complex construction sales cycles.
  • Confidence engaging both technical and commercial stakeholders.
