Project Quality Lead, Traveling Construction

Location: Kansas City, MO (On-site with nationwide travel)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field-level quality initiatives to ensure alignment with project requirements, codes, and industry standards.
  • Perform detailed site inspections to verify workmanship, materials, and installation meet defined expectations.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, logs, and audit records.
  • Collaborate with project teams and trade partners to communicate quality expectations and resolve issues proactively.
  • Identify non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and verify completion to maintain project standards.
  • Review project submittals and ensure materials and systems comply with specifications.
  • Coordinate and oversee testing activities, documenting and communicating results clearly.
  • Ensure all testing and measurement tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Partner with project leadership to align quality efforts with timelines and cost objectives.
  • Support adherence to safety policies and regulatory requirements across all job sites.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in construction quality control or assurance roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, codes, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard construction management tools.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across field teams and leadership.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, field-based environments.
