Electrical Safety Marshal

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and enforce electrical safety protocols related to system energization and de-energization activities on active job sites.
- Oversee access control and safety compliance within electrical rooms and restricted environments.
- Conduct pre-energization inspections to confirm system readiness and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage and uphold lockout tagout processes site-wide, ensuring consistent compliance among all teams.
- Review commissioning documentation and validate alignment with safety and operational requirements.
- Perform regular audits of electrical safety practices and energy control procedures.
- Act as the primary resource for electrical safety and energy isolation guidance across project teams.
- Support daily and weekly safety planning efforts, including hazard assessments and high-risk activity coordination.
- Analyze electrical drawings and system configurations to ensure safe design and execution.
- Collaborate with project leadership to drive continuous safety improvements and best practices.
- Communicate technical safety requirements clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Intervene and stop work when unsafe electrical practices are identified.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, safety, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical safety, energy isolation, or related disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of lockout tagout procedures and electrical safety regulations.
- NFPA 70E certification required.
- Experience supporting commissioning or startup activities in construction environments.
- Ability to work with electrical systems across varying voltage levels, including AC and DC.
- Proven ability to audit, enforce, and improve safety procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse teams.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, active construction environments.
Preferred Experience:
- Background supporting data center builds or other high-availability, critical infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with complex electrical systems involving redundancy and multiple energy sources.
- Background collaborating with commissioning teams and interpreting technical system designs.
