Network Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Brazoria, TX (On-Site, M-F)

Our client, a long-standing regional leader in broadband services, is searching for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to lead the charge in network reliability, performance, and service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support a range of Layer 2/3 networking systems, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and FTTH platforms.
- Oversee and optimize transport networks and L2VPN services using both Cisco and Juniper technologies.
- Support and maintain DOCSIS, VoIP, IPTV, and DWDM systems in a hybrid broadband environment.
- Troubleshoot, provision, and improve services such as CGNAT, DHCP, AAA, and broadband subscriber management systems.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configs, and SOPs.
- Analyze network systems to detect and eliminate hidden problems that hinder optimal performance.
- Design technical solutions aimed at increasing service uptime, capacity, and performance.
- Collaborate with leadership on equipment procurement and service integration strategies.
- Act as Tier 3 escalation support and assist in knowledge-sharing across the NOC team.
- Participate in change management, system upgrades, and service rollout initiatives.
Desired Skills & Technologies
- Proven experience across access, transport, and service layers of a network (Layer 1–3).
- Mastery of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and network virtualization.
- Proficiency with monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP, Syslog, etc.).
- Hands-on familiarity with VoIP infrastructure, IPTV technologies, and HFC/DOCSIS systems.
- Experience with authentication tools (RADIUS, TACACS+), DHCP systems, and Linux environments.
- Exposure to scripting or automation tools (Python, Ansible, YANG) is a strong plus.
- Skilled at explaining complex technical concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of technical fluency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of network engineering experience, preferably in a service provider or ISP setting.
- Technical degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA (required), JNCIA, or equivalent are highly desired.
