Field Quality Control Technician – Electrical Systems

Locations: On‑site in Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) region, TX and Lubbock, TX


A high‑growth provider of critical electrical services is actively seeking a Field Qualify Control Technician to join their team across Texas construction sites. If you're a results-driven professional seeking a challenging role that delivers high-impact results and values innovative solutions, this position is worth exploring. You’ll serve as the frontline assurance lead, partnering with site teams on large‑scale commercial/industrial builds and ensuring electrical work meets rigorous safety, compliance and quality expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain field quality control procedures for electrical installations and systems.
  • Perform thorough examinations of electrical apparatus, systems, and components to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, technical specifications, and design documentation.
  • Execute rigorous testing and diagnostic procedures on electrical systems to detect malfunctions, pinpoint root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Create, manage and submit accurate inspection and test documentation, detailed reports and associated data to project leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with site superintendents, foremen and engineers to identify risk areas, implement preventive measures and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide informal training or guidance on quality‑control best practices for electricians, subcontractors and site teams.
  • Provide support to maintain compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols at all levels.


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in quality control, field inspection or similar role in electrical construction or related heavy commercial/industrial sector.
  • Solid working knowledge of electrical installations and safety standards (e.g., NEC or equivalent applicable codes).
  • Associate degree, technical certificate or equivalent trade experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, analytical thinking, and proficiency in documentation management and digital reporting.
  • Effective communicator, able to interface with field teams, engineers and project management.
  • Willing and able to work on‑site, travel across project locations in Texas and adapt to field environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and professional integrity.
