Business Development Sales Manager – Defense / Military

Location: Remote, based in Poland

About the Role


This role is designed for a business development leader with deep roots in the European defense industry. You will be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, forming strategic alliances, and managing long-cycle government and defense procurement engagements. The ideal candidate has strong connections in military procurement, understands technical sales, and excels in highly regulated environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic growth initiatives in the defense, aerospace, marine, and tactical systems sectors across Europe.
  • Identify and develop new sales channels and market opportunities for advanced technologies including defense-grade SaaS platforms, land systems, and integrated tactical solutions.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in military procurement, defense ministries, and large defense contractors.
  • Represent the company at global trade shows and defense industry conferences to build brand presence and attract partners.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, legal, compliance, and marketing teams to create compelling, compliant proposals and bids.
  •  Provide market intelligence and insights to inform executive-level strategy.
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder procurement processes across national and international defense markets.
  •  Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to existing and prospective clients.


Skills & Experience Required

  • 7+ years of progressive business development experience within the defense, aerospace, or adjacent technology sectors.
  • Established network within Eastern European military and defense procurement organizations.
  • Proven success managing long-term, multi-phase defense contract sales cycles.
  • Strong knowledge of NATO-aligned procurement processes and regulatory environments.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Polish and English (verbal and written).
  • Skilled in negotiations, client engagement, and solution selling.
  • Eligible to obtain appropriate national or regional security clearances.


Travel Requirements

  • Must be based in Poland with the ability to travel regionally up to 50%.
  • Valid passport required for international travel.
