Lighting Regional Sales Manager

Location: Remote – United States (ideal home base within the Central Time Zone)

Travel: Up to 50 percent to customer and representative partner sites


A quietly high-growth manufacturer of premium architectural and outdoor lighting solutions is expanding its U.S. commercial team. We are looking for a seasoned sales leader who thrives on building specification demand, empowering independent rep agencies, and winning mind-share with architects, lighting designers, and electrical engineers. What You’ll Tackle

  • Cultivate and deepen relationships with lighting agencies, specifiers, and design influencers to position the full portfolio on commercial, civic, and landscape projects.
  • Create territory business plans, forecasts, and KPI dashboards that consistently beat aggressive revenue targets.
  • Coach and inspire a network of independent representatives - providing product training, joint sales calls, and strategic guidance that elevates each agency’s performance.
  • Partner with internal marketing, product management, and digital tools teams to launch new products and drive data-driven selling.
  • Track project pipelines from pre-design through close-out, ensuring pricing strategies and margin objectives are met.
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, IES events, and industry associations to raise awareness and generate leads.
  • Report market intelligence (competitor moves, channel trends, code changes) to executive leadership and influence future road-maps.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of success in commercial or architectural lighting sales, preferably in a specification-driven environment
  • Robust network of architects, lighting designers, and manufacturer rep agencies across the central U.S.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling prowess - you can translate technical features into customer value.
  • Proven ability to create territory growth strategies, analyze data, and adjust quickly to meet objectives.
  • Hands-on CRM proficiency and a passion for continuous improvement in sales process and tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership - mentoring reps and internal teams, resolving conflict, and driving for results.

Preferred Extras

  • Professional lighting certifications (LC, LEED GA, etc.)
  • Experience introducing connected controls or exterior lighting products.
