Senior Cost Manager - Mission-Critical Construction

Travel: Periodic day-trips to regional project sites in North Georgia and Western North Carolina

A rapidly scaling owner-side consultancy is redefining how capital-intensive programs leverage technology and data to stay on budget and ahead of schedule. As our next Senior Cost Manager, you will own the financial health of multi-site data-center builds for marquee enterprise clients. You will lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed cost team, plug cost intelligence into cloud-based PMIS tools, and sit at the strategy table with both client executives and internal leadership. If you thrive on complex MEP-heavy projects and want a seat where your insights shape billion-dollar investments, this is your next move.

This Role Offers:

·        You will join a people-first, technology-forward consultancy recognized repeatedly as a best place to work. Expect an inclusive, performance-driven culture that celebrates innovation, supports professional development, and gives back through paid volunteerism and matching gifts.

·        Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base + bonus plan, comprehensive health coverage, 401(k) match, flexible PTO, charitable-giving match, and career-development stipend

Focus:

·        Orchestrate cost control throughout multi-site data-center programs from early design through commissioning.

·        Build dynamic budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and KPI dashboards that keep decision-makers engaged.

·        Chair quarterly financial health reviews with client directors and internal executives, surfacing risk and opportunity.

·        Coach and inspire a geographically distributed team of cost analysts, fostering accountability and career growth.

·        Seamlessly connect cost, schedule, and procurement data sets within leading PMIS solutions to improve speed and accuracy.

·        Scrutinize change events, contracts, and invoices to safeguard margin and mitigate risk.

·        Collaborate with MEP, procurement, and scheduling counterparts to align on cost drivers and strategic mitigations.

·        Drive automation and visualization initiatives that transform raw data into actionable intelligence.

Skill Set:

·        5+ years leading cost-management or project-controls functions on hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data-center builds.

·        Proven command of cost drivers in MEP-intensive environments - high-capacity electrical, advanced cooling, and IT/telecom integration.

·        Hands-on expertise with cloud-based project controls and reporting platforms; experience integrating cost, schedule, and procurement data.

·        Track record mentoring cost or project-controls teams and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.

·        Clear, concise communication style with the confidence to present to executive audiences.

Preferred

·        10+ years total mission-critical experience.

·        Prior responsibility for regional or multi-country cost strategy.

·        Familiarity with earned-value, Monte-Carlo, or other advanced forecasting techniques.
