Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of presales engineers, fostering professional growth, technical acumen, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support account executives throughout the sales lifecycle with strategic technical input, helping qualify opportunities and shape winning proposals.
- Engage directly with customers and prospects to develop custom telecom and cloud networking solutions, including SD-WAN, Ethernet, UCaaS, dark fiber, and managed services.
- Create alignment between sales and engineering through structured KPIs, process enablement, and pre-sale qualification practices.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for high-value customer engagements and complex enterprise deployments.
- Promote a solutions-first culture focused on consultative selling and long-term relationship building.
- Guide technical evaluations, perform business/technical discovery, and provide training/coaching across the SE organization.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and network operations teams to align customer needs with core capabilities.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, competitor offerings, and solution positioning to ensure a strong technical advantage.
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in telecom or cloud network infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience mentoring technical teams in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical account management.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including protocols such as MPLS, BGP, SIP, WDM, Ethernet, SD-WAN, UCaaS, and long-haul/metro transport.
- Demonstrated ability to interface confidently with both technical and executive audiences.
- Familiarity with telecom-related infrastructure (NOC, data centers, power systems, fiber optics).
- Experience in solution design across enterprise environments, including hybrid cloud deployments.
- Certifications such as CCNA, AWS, Azure, or relevant optical networking certs are highly valued.
- Hands-on and high-energy mindset with strong interpersonal skills - comfortable in a fast-moving, growth-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent hands-on experience.
